Operation Ziethen (ii)

(18th century Prussian cavalry leader)

'Ziethen' (ii) was a U-boat wolfpack operation operation off the north coast of German-occupied Norway (23/29 March 1942).

The wolfpack comprised U-209, U-376, U-378 and U-655, and for the loss of Korvettenkapitän Adolf Dumrese’s U-655, after it had been rammed by the British minesweeper Sharpshooter in the Barents Sea in the area to the south-east of Bjørnøya, sank no ship.
