The 'Amalie-Linie' was the German fallback position for Generaloberst Hans-Valentin Hube’s (from 21 April General Kurt von der Chevallerie’s) 1^st Panzerarmee in the northern part of Ukraine along the line between Uszica and a point to the north of Dunayevtsy (spring 1944).
